Sweetened Condensed Rice Milk

This is a basic recipe for sweetened, dairy free (vegan), condensed milk. I prefer to use rice milk, as the flavour is more neutral and easier to disguise than soy, almond or oat milk.

Sweetened Condensed Rice Milk

3+3/4 Cup Rice Milk
1/2 Cup Raw Sugar

Simmer in a small pot on low heat for approximately 1hr + 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. During the last 15 minutes, your mixture will bubble up a little so stir more frequently and keep an eye on it. The result should be 1 scant cup of sweetened condensed rice milk.

A couple of Aussie dessert favourites that utilise this recipe will be coming up on the blog shortly, so stay tuned!
